Terms of Service

1. The game

Take the City is an entertainment product. Contributions are payments for a game mechanic — they are final, non-refundable, and are not deposits, investments, or claims on anything in the real world. City “ownership” is a game state only.

2. Content policy

The following are prohibited in clan names, descriptions, spotlight labels, and links:

• Names or symbols of terrorist or extremist organizations
• Separatist-organization names and content promoting political violence
• Hate speech, slurs, or harassment of any person or group
• Sexually explicit (NSFW) content
• Impersonation of any person, brand, or organization, including unauthorized use of trademarks
• Links to malware, scams, or illegal content

Violations are removed, may result in account termination without refund, and clans can be hidden automatically pending review after repeated reports.

3. Brand verification

Brand badges are granted only after manual review of ownership proof. Submitting false proof is impersonation and results in removal and a ban.

4. Payments

Payments are processed by our merchant of record. By paying you also accept the payment processor's terms. Chargebacks on delivered game actions may lead to account suspension.

5. Moderation & changes

We may remove content, adjust game mechanics (including decay rates), or suspend accounts to keep the platform safe and functional. Disputed territories are excluded from play at our sole discretion.
